Looking at getting your Boat licence, jet ski licence or both on the Gold Coast?

We offer boat and jet ski licence courses running weekdays and weekends 7 days a week.

The course is run at the Nerang boat ramp - Arthur Earle Park on the Gold Coast. This offers a nice quiet location away from the busyness of the broad water and protected from majority of bad conditions for you to practice your boating and jet skiing safely and confidently.

The course includes Online theory component (must be completed prior to attending practical), Assessment and practical Testing using our supplied boat and jet ski conducted by our friendly trainers.

Our course and training providers are fully accredited by BoatSafe QLD.

The day will consist of: 

     - Revision in the morning which will revise the information you learnt in the online course and         will be focused on the questions you will come across in the assessment.

     - Multiple choice exam for boat and/or PWC depending what you are doing. This is a 50 multiple choice exam for boat and 40 multiple choice exam for PWC (only 20 multiple choice for PWC if attending the boat and pwc combo course)

Two attempts are given for the exams - if for example you get 3 questions wrong in first attempt you would only need to re-attempt those 3 again in second attempt.

     - Practical component: We will then head out in the boat and/or jet ski and perform practical tasks. These are fairly simple and multiple practice attempts are given. All tasks will be demonstrated and explained by the trainer.

     - Statement of competency: after all theory and practical has been successfully passed you will be issued with a statement of competency which will need to be taken into Transport & Main Roads (TMR) who will then issue your new licence.

Please Read:

• We encourage you to practice driving a boat with another licenced skipper before arriving at a BoatSafe course – you may not be competent in driving the boat in just one day. However our trainers will do some basic training with you on the day to help you out the best we can. We can also offer training if you do not know anyone with a boat or jet ski - please contact us if you would like to take advantage of this offer.
